My first night in New York I ventured out solo, jumped in a cab to Union Square and hit up a great Of Montreal show, thanks to some friends of my Chicago friends who happened to have an extra ticket. Thanks Cherney!

This is the first in a long line of new york shots that you are about to see put up. These were taken towards the end of the trip. Why you say would i choose to do the end first?...well, the end was what i was most excited about. This night was filled with sloshing through a major amount of slush in Soho late at night to find a bar that I had never been to...a mirage of sorts which is how it ended up feeling when I arrived. A wonderful magical night!

Spring shots

It's late at night and I am in the sewing lab finishing up my last project of the semester which you will be seeing here in the next few days. Since it's spring and I am itching to be out playing around in it I figured a few spring shots from last year would be a pleasant addition. Hope you enjoy them. So, the semester is slowing to a stop, and before I run back to the sewing lab to do my very last garment for a grade (for this year) I would like to share something that my boyfriend mikey found online last night...some super stellar hand made bike frames by an Austin, Texas bike enthusiast, Whitney Moyer. Sarah sews swimsuits

The chaos of my life has made me neglect certain loved things...this blog being one of them, so I thought that I would give an explanation to the lull in my postings. The first picture is of me, after hours of sewing. Perhaps this blog should be named "lack of sleep and empty sewing lab". Yes, that is the sewing lab behind me where I spend LOTS of my time...I love it! The next photos are of the finished products. I worked with two other very talented girls to produce this mini line of swimsuits. I hope you all enjoy the poolside shots.

The big move

I spent all day yesterday moving the things I own from one location to another. Luckily I only had to move them two blocks. These are some of the photos I took throughout the day. The one of the house has a gypsy boy playing the accordian on the porch.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

Adidas inspiration, continued...

Here are some of the textiles that were produced from the Adidas inspiration page. I did the textile designs, adidas did the shoes.

lomography and fisheye

i was introduced to a wonderful website; lomography.com, that has greatly enhanced my photographic ablitliy and inspiration.
1. The rule of lomography are that of no rules, shooting from the hip, and never leaving your camera at home.
2. The website offers a variety of interesting yet inexpensive cameras for taking such above mentioned photos.
3. You can search through tons of other lomography inspired individuals photographs posted on the website.
4. There are books too!!

...anyway, this picture that I share with you today is the first picture that I took with my new fisheye camera, the first camera that I bought at lomography.com. The first of many.

I have to put this image up for LP and her morning coffee blog reading. She seems to think that now that I have bangs there is an uncanny resemblance. I have to agree with her.

Rain filled dreams of Washington

In lieu of the wonderful Colorado spring showers we have been having for a few days now I am dedicating today's blog to the Pacific Northwest. It has seeped into everything around me including my dreams and pushed me to consider moving back there. These three photos were taken on different mist powered days near Port Angeles.
