Ibis!

It's been a bit since I had a nice long sit-down at the Ibis, and this last weekend, while on our geocaching trip we stopped in for some lounging and socializing.

And to introduce Denise to coffee! ...she had two!

Geocaching!! ...yay!

This weekend, three friends and I went on a geocaching expedition that started in SLC and ended in Logan! So fun. We only found 2 of the 5 caches that we searched for, which made for all sorts of humorous banter about being bad at the game. We also spent an awesome hour on the deck at The White Owl having lunch ...and another being lazy and drinking coffee at the Ibis (more on that later).

I'm already looking forward to our next expedition!

Vintage Photo Fold-outs!

A few weeks ago I went vintage paper hunting and at two different places I found these wonderful photo fold-outs. They are Linen card outside with a folding (accordion like) section in the middle that falls out when you open them. I was not as impressed with the inside images, but they really did a great job with the outside packaging. These are the two I purchased:




I plan on using the images in future mailings, and hopefully add them to a line of colorful stationery.

After posting the Alice photos, I need to sharel some pictures of the family! It was a good day for all of us ..a good day for my mom :)

Alice

My parents dog is Alice.

She is big and mean and yet very cuddly sometimes ..depending on if she likes you or not.
She spent the whole first year that she knew Dingo herding him around the yard ..and still does it on occasion.
If she can pick up her food bowl she will spill her dog food all over the floor and pick it up one piece at a time.
She loves to bark (loudly) at animals outside of the car ..while she is inside, and you are driving.
If my parents shut their bedroom door on her she will come in my room and crawl under the covers head first.
She sheds like crazy ..almost all of the time..

..and we love her.

I received this PC a few days ago through postcrossing! So colorful, so wonderful. It's near my door and I smile when I see it!

The Postal System: in and out

Here are some mailings that went out over the last few weeks. The last one with the butterfly/spider picture (I really can't tell ..although maybe that's the point) is from one of my very favorite pen-pals, Miss. Millicent! She is a delightful woman, who's correspondence is always filled with energy and happiness. This specific letter was encased in another equally wonderful envelope because the postal service returned it to her the first time. It was a great surprise!

Eating out.

It seems like one of the things we have been doing now that the weather is warming up is going out! It's so nice the way spring makes people blossom out of their cozy winter confinement. The parks have been packed, people are everywhere running and jogging ..and here we are, out and about.



These two are from 'The Cotton Bottom' ..which everyone says has the best garlic burgers!

Last week, while getting myself together I made a conscious effort to further myself as a crafter and spent some time getting my etsy account up and running. My first items for sale ended up being 5 tiny hats that I created a bit ago and have been waiting to sell!

Hello again folks, my absence, though sad I'm sure, was a necessity. Things have been hard these last few weeks and life changed around a bit. I am climbing back out of it all and plan on standing stronger than before. I missed you, I missed uploading photographs and I missed sharing my creative side. I hope you all hung in there and that you are glad to see me again as well.
