I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

Adidas inspiration, continued...

Here are some of the textiles that were produced from the Adidas inspiration page. I did the textile designs, adidas did the shoes.

lomography and fisheye

i was introduced to a wonderful website; lomography.com, that has greatly enhanced my photographic ablitliy and inspiration.
1. The rule of lomography are that of no rules, shooting from the hip, and never leaving your camera at home.
2. The website offers a variety of interesting yet inexpensive cameras for taking such above mentioned photos.
3. You can search through tons of other lomography inspired individuals photographs posted on the website.
4. There are books too!!

...anyway, this picture that I share with you today is the first picture that I took with my new fisheye camera, the first camera that I bought at lomography.com. The first of many.

Sylvia Plath

I have to put this image up for LP and her morning coffee blog reading. She seems to think that now that I have bangs there is an uncanny resemblance. I have to agree with her.

"Sylvia Plath" -Ryan Adams

I wish I had a Sylvia Plath
Busted tooth and a smile
And cigarette ashes in her drink
The kind that goes out and then sleeps for a week
The kind that goes out on her
To give me a reason, for well, I dunno

And maybe she'd take me to France
Or maybe to Spain and she'd ask me to dance
In a mansion on the top of a hill
She'd ash on the carpets
And slip me a pill
Then she'd get pretty loaded on gin
And maybe she'd give me a bath
How I wish I had a Sylvia Plath

And she and I would sleep on a boat
And swim in the sea without clothes
With rain falling fast on the sea
While she was swimming away, she'd be winking at me
Telling me it would all be okay
Out on the horizon and fading away
And I'd swim to the boat and I'd laugh
I gotta get me a Sylvia Plath

And maybe she'd take me to France
Or maybe to Spain and she'd ask me to dance
In a mansion on the top of a hill
She'd ash on the carpets
And slip me a pill
Then she'd get pretty loaded on gin
And maybe she'd give me a bath
How I wish I had a Sylvia Plath
I wish I had a Sylvia Plath

Adidas inspiration page

This is the inspiration page that I created to do one of my textile lines in CAD textiles design.

Inspiration for a San Francisco day

These postcards may not need any written commentation to explain their significance...but one will be heading to NYC, and the other is the back of the San Fran' postcard.

Rain filled dreams of Washington

In lieu of the wonderful Colorado spring showers we have been having for a few days now I am dedicating today's blog to the Pacific Northwest. It has seeped into everything around me including my dreams and pushed me to consider moving back there. These three photos were taken on different mist powered days near Port Angeles.

I would also like to introduce you to an artist with a lovely show up right now at the Seattle University Lee Center for the Arts. Here is a preview of Jon Huck and breakfast. www.jonhuck.com

The apple in the sky...first blog!

This apple in the sky is a photo that I took and turned into a postcard that got buried on my desk under a pile of other creative things that needs to be organized. I have too much going through my head at any random time...I write it down on small pieces of paper that inevitably get lost somewhere and i find them months later when I don't have as much drive to create them. Or, like this piece, I make them, I love them, I send them off in the mail to my beloved friends and i forget that they ever existed.

I am starting this blog as a way to remember; to keep track; to show myself and others what I am capable of; to bring to life this creative inspiration; perhaps to even organize it. So, to those who stumble upon this and those that I love that will check up on it, enjoy, I'll try to keep it interesting!
