Greetings from Japan!

This beautiful postcard arrived from Japan about a week ago, through postcrossing! The site is a network of postcard exchange that works on a "you send one, you get one" system. Since starting the site 3 months ago I have sent 19 and received 18. This may sound like a low number, but when you factor in international travel time, it actually seems fast. My postcards have come from 16 different countries including Latvia, Belarus and Lithuania. Travel time has been anywhere from 6 to 44 days! ..crazy.

My next postcard, just requested today is being sent to Nataleon in Russia, who likes to embroider, swim in the river and do water aerobics. She is an economist!

Happy mailing to you all, I hope this post inspires you to get out your old pen and paper and write something wonderful to send to someone you care about ...or maybe even someone new, in another country, that you've never even met :)
